Two Brothers

These brothers were very busy! It seemed like when one would look at the camera, the other one wouldn't...then they'd switch! By brown chair seems to be coming in handy when it comes to boys though...they will sit on it long enough for me to get a few shots in!

Melissa and Aarron are one of my top clients, they know how important it is to capture their life on camera so they can look back at all the memories, and how much their children change. Well this weekend they brought the rest of the family along, and we had a lot of fun! We did regular photos as well as Christmas photos. The kids I think are getting used to being in front of the camera now, and were little angels...although Parker was on the go the whole time!

These are the newest editions to my family...Gracie and Eve. We finally got to do a studio shoot with them! My next battle will be to get them with their brother! Hopefully I can manage to!
They have come a long way, they now weight 6.4 pounds and 5.12 pounds...pretty much doubled in size!

This was a very short notice wedding for me. I got a phone call last week asking if I was free for the 17th for a couple of hours. I decided since the girls were still in the hospital, I'd get out and do one last wedding before the winter. It turned out to be a beautiful day, the weather was wonderful, although we had to act fast before we lost the light since it was an evening wedding!

Gracie

Eve

Ok, I figure it is time to give an update to all my wonderful clients, followers and friends!! I had an emergency c-section on September 17th. My twin girls, Gracie and Eve, were born at 31 weeks. It put a stop to my work, that's for sure! But they are doing great, and are actually coming home from the hospital on Saturday! We are very excited.
I am still doing some studio work, although for the next couple of months, it will be select. So if you are interested in Christmas photos, you should contact me sooner than later, since I am only doing a small amount of studio work until after Christmas.
I am slowly working on a "revamp" and am very excited. I will have new goodies to offer in the new year! Also, there are a few links on my website (such as 'more samples') that are not working. Eventually I will get the website to full working potential, it has been put on the back burner a little bit, but I promise, it will soon be working wonderfully!!
Other then that, stay tuned!!

This is the reason the studio has has to come to a stop for the next few months! I am expecting twin girls!! They are due November, but I will be having them the end of this month....very excited!
I can honestly tell you though, I enjoy being behind the camera, instead of infront of it. Can't say I'm comfortable at all having my picture taken, but like I say to all my clients, it's so important to capture these special moments...so I took the plunge.

This little guy is Brody. He was born early and is still quite small! He was a pretty easy going newborn though, slept a lot of the time, which I love. He only had eyes for mommy, and only wanted to pee and poop on daddy!!

I did Bria when she was just a newbron. The first thing mommy says to me when she walks in is "She doesn't really smile for strangers". I always smile when moms come in, expecting the worst! With a bit of time, children will relax! However, you also must remember that it's nice to capture them in the stage they're at!
Bria warmed up and seemed to like the different props, especially the beads! she was flinging them around and eatting them.

Here is little Sophia, she is two months old. She had a bit of a rough session, very gassy and upset stomach. But we were able to get a couple sleeping shots, and after her 10 minute nap, she was a little more happy to co-operate!

We got lucky yesterday with the rain. The thunder was rolling and the wind was blowing but the outside ceremony did not get rained out! Brooks and Brenda have been close friends for quite a while now, so it was nice to be able to share in their special day this way. Even though we got rained on for a few minutes, we still got a lot of photos done. My challenge was with Tiny, he was a grooms men and is 7 feet tall....he made all the guys look quite short!

This is from a wedding we did today. What I love when the bride and groom give me ample time to do photos, is not only do I get to play and experiment, but we get lots!! It really does pay off to give the photographer the time to capture these moments!

This little one decided to make her mission to pee and pooh as many times possible. I have never seen such a little one explode as much as she did! I was lucky I had her pointing away from me the one time!! We had to have patience with this shoot, since she wanted to eat the whole time! But it was worth it in the end.

So, we just got back from a wonderful vacation in Punta Cana (pictures to come), and the basement decides to flood. Not good when the studio is located there. I feel like a kid in a candy shop!! I am finally getting my stuff together and re-working my packages, which means offering new things!! I've been working with my sister who owns Bright Ideas www.ourbrightideas.ca and she has actually put my ideas in order and finessed them! This year is going to be awesome. She's come up with new ways to get my photography out there, more things to offer clients, and of course, a better look for my business. So once again, I can't stop smiling! It's nice to feel like I'm finally getting organized and a consistency to my look.
As soon as I have everything put together, and samples to show off, I will be letting you all in on my awesome new products and pacakges! And of course, I'll have a few specials for you early birds to test the new products and tell me what you think.

7 months pregnant...I wish I looked like this when I was 7 months pregnant! I was about double the size. There was one point I asked her to push her belly out a bit! I love the above photo, it looks as if Erin is showing Nathanael where the baby is pushing. Another Bickle boy....the girls better watch out!

Wow, a whole year old. We had a nice relaxing day, Elijah even slept in until 9am! We decided to do a quick photoshoot with one of his presents he got, the nice leather jacket from his uncle Jesse and Carrie. I had about 20 seconds for my photoshoot!

Cupcakes for Breakfast!

My sweet, lovely, dirty boy!! He is the first baby to do this shoot that did not need any coaxing whatsoever. As soon as he saw the cupcakes, he starting kicking his legs (my husband was holding him, about to put him down in the middle of them) and reaching for them. Within seconds, he was devouring them!! He loved the mess...I think he is going to be one of those boys that likes to get into things.
We did these photos just a few days early, his birthday is not until Monday. I can't believe he's going to be a year old! Time really does fly.
Don't you want to document your baby's birthday? What better way then with cupcakes!

This is Drake, he's 11 months old, and was in awe of the studio. Normally a mover, but stayed pretty still, and was much more serious, which I guess is not like him either!! He was very good though, we were finished very quick with his session!

Now Ethan is a BIG boy. 5 months old, and almost the size of my 9 month old (and he's not a small boy either). I keep reminding my son to be nice to Ethan, cause he would much rather have him as his body guard, then enemy! lol Some of the expressions he makes are priceless!

My sister and her perfect timing! It's time for Elijah's nap, so I would have a couple hours to work on Christmas orders, and who comes marching in the door....Jordyn!! With the rest following. So down we marched to the studio to do some Christmas photos. I have been so busy in the studio, my sister was worrying I wouldn't get her Christmas photos done...but for my beautiful neices, I'll find the time! I love the last two of Zoe, taken within 2 seconds of each other...the first one she has her pout going on, the sencond one, she's all smiles!!

Thought I'd post a couple more of Lincoln. I ended up having to go back to take a few more photos, due to camera problems...gave me an excuse to buy myself a 5D, so can't complain! I don't know if Lincoln was happy to see me though, he liked being warm in his sleeper and in his mommy's arms instead of naked and being moved around!! I don't blame him though.

This is the McLean family. Sarah, Ali, Melissa and finally...Daniel. They spent their PA Day getting photos taken for Christmas. It was strange having the age where you tell them where to sit and they do, without running around crazy!! It was nice for a change! They were full of smiles, although it took a bit more to get one out of Sarah! Here's just a sneak peek...

This little man was put through his paces! I was surprised how well he did for all the different poses we had him in. I was only peed on once, his mom was only peed on once, however, I can't say so much for the towels!! Just a few quick ones to get up here. His dad is quite proud and loves photos. I find it nice when parents have ideas of what they want and get all excited and into it!!

The Triplets!

As soon as Amber walked in the door, she said, "Don't make fun of us, we're triplets!". I'm happy they dressed like this, it doesn't distract from the photo. I wish more people came color co-ordinated like this. James, as usual was constantly on the go! He was like this from birth, actually, he was so quick, the doctor didn't even catch him...luckily the bed did!

This is Samuel. He is the newest addition to the ever expanding Bickle family....and he's a red head! He's a big boy, and was happy for most of the pictures! His big brother Jacen was gentle most of the time with him, although did not seem to want to get any photos done with him!

Elijah woke up in a great mood today, so I couldn't miss the opportunity to grab a couple of photos. I love taking pictures of my little man, and for now, he smiles for the camera. So I figure I should take advantage of it now! This is a perfect age to catch that innocence...their real smiles, since they have not been taught yet to smile (that fake "say cheese" smile) which I find can sometimes ruin a photo.

I think he's the cutest little lion there is!
